 		     Throughout the year, a wide variety of program and ministry takes place at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church (UCC).  God is busy at work in the following ways;

Weekly:

  • Sunday School: Sunday mornings -9:00am  (all ages)

  • Worship:  Sunday mornings -10:15am

  • Choir practice:  Wednesday evenings -6:30pm

  • Bell Choir practice:  Wednesday evenings - 7:30pm

Monthly:

  • Service of Holy Communion:  first Sunday of each month

  • Women's Guild:   second Sunday of each month (time varies)

  • Men's Breakfast Fellowship:  third Sunday of each month - 7am

  • Saints of St. John (Youth Group 7th grade-Senior): last Sunday of each month - 6:30pm.

  • Women's Bible Study: last Thursday of each month - 7pm.

  • Game Night (dominoes, canasta and other table games): last Sunday of each month.

  • Senior Citizens Gathering: last Tuesday of each month -2pm.

Quarterly:

  • Acolyte Club:  Sunday afternoon

  • Saints Lunch:  an after the worship lunch prepared by our youth group to raise funds for youth ministry.

Annually:

  • Pfolkfest: 2nd Sunday in October (Turkey dinner and craft auction)

  • Youth Sunday:  October - Saints hold the worship service

  • Fall Festival:  a safe Halloween Party for the Sunday School and Community children

  • Thanksgiving Eve Community Dinner & Worship (Wednesday before Thanksgiving)

  • Hanging of the Greens: at the beginning of Advent

  • Christmas Caroling to nursing homes and shutins:  in December

  • Women's Guild Candlelight Communion Service: in December

  • Sunday School Christmas Eve Pageant: Christmas Eve

  • Christmas Morning worship:  10am on Christmas

  • Confirmation Reunion Sunday: the First Sunday in March or April (depending on where Easter falls) when there is a 50th Anniversary Class

  • Wednesday Evening Lent services:  During the Season of Lent

  • Maundy Thursday Communion Service:  Thursday before Easter

  • Easter Egg Hunt:  Saturday before Easter

  • Easter Sunrise Service:  held by the Saints of St. John

  • Easter worship:  10am

  • Women's Appreciation Banquet:  the Sunday before Mother's Day

Through out the year, a variety of ministries, fellowship opportunities, and celebrations take place, including:  pot luck dinners, weddings, funerals, work projects, mission fund drives, and  confirmation classes (when appropriate).  God keeps pretty busy at St. John.
